My husband would say otherwise but then, he’s my husband. There will always be some bias there–tempered by some honest statements and observations.

That said, I’m actually one of those people who never seemed to find any satisfaction with their looks. Physically, I’m not svelte or even anywhere near a level of fitness that will allow me to easily suss out the perfect attire when I enter a boutique.

Nope, those days are far, far behind me at this point. That said, I do think there is truth in what Nigel said and what the entire movie talked about.

“Lang”

This Filipino word for “only” or “just” is wrapped in so many layers that it can get ridiculous. Yet we use it so often that it’s easy to forget how limiting it can be.

Wednesday afternoon, as I brought my 5-year-old son to school, we partly witnessed a hit and run incident between a vehicle in a rush to get to its destination, and a dog who had the misfortune of getting in the way.

Immediately, my thoughts went to “Oh my God, what do I do?”

Tapped Out

How can I say that, right? I love my family dearly but, yeah, I am. I can be. What stings here is that I have no solution. Too many demands on me and my time and attention. Not enough of me. I’m at a point right now when I feel like I have nothing left to give to anyone. Pouring from an empty cup, so to speak. I feel broken. I feel weak.
